Landscape Design in Leesburg

We design planting beds, borders and outdoor spaces around how your home actually sits: where the sun lands, where water runs and how you use the yard. Then we install the plan with the house protected and the site cleaned at the end of every working day.

A plan before the first shovel

Landscape design keeps a yard from becoming a collection of plants bought one weekend at a time. We look at your soil, light, drainage and the views from inside your home. Then we put together a plan for beds, plant choices, edging, paths and any hardscape you want, so every piece has a reason to be there.

It is the right call when you are starting from bare ground after a build, replacing tired foundation plantings, or fixing a yard where things keep dying in the same spots. With sandy soil that drains fast and summer storms that drop a lot of water at once, plant placement and grading matter as much as the plants themselves.

Landscaping Leesburg has been in business since 2018. We are business licensed and fully insured, which matters on a project where our crew works close to your walls, windows and driveway for several days.

What the design work covers

  1. 01

    Walkthrough and measurements

We walk the property with you, measure beds and open areas, and note sun exposure through the day, low spots, irrigation heads and utilities. Photos of existing conditions go into the plan so nothing is guessed.

  2. 02

    Plants chosen for your conditions

We pick plants by mature size, light and water needs, so shrubs do not swallow windows in three years and turf is not fighting deep shade. We favor varieties that handle heat and humidity and recover after a cold snap.

  3. 03

    Bed layout and edging

Bed lines, depth from the foundation and edging material are drawn before anything is dug. Keeping beds a set distance from your siding helps airflow and keeps soil and mulch off the walls.

  4. 04

    Hardscape and path placement

If the plan includes pavers, stepping stones, borders or a seating area, we work out where they go and how water drains away from them and from your home. Our hardscape installation crew builds them.

  5. 05

    Irrigation notes

We mark where zones need adjusting or adding so new plants get the right amount of water. The irrigation work can be scheduled alongside the planting.

  6. 06

    Phases if you want them

Prefer to spread the project out? We split the design into stages that each look finished on their own.

Signs your yard needs a design, not more plants

  • Plants keep dying in one spot

Usually it is the wrong plant for the light, or water pooling where the roots sit. A plan fixes the cause instead of replacing the plant again.

  • Shrubs crowding windows and walls

Overgrown foundation plantings hold moisture against the house and block light. Redesigned beds with plants sized for the space end the constant shearing.

  • Water standing after storms

Puddles near the foundation or across the lawn point to grading and bed placement that need rethinking.

  • A new build with bare ground

Builder landscaping is often a strip of sod and a few shrubs. Starting with a design avoids tearing things out later.

  • You never use the yard

No shade, no place to sit, no clear path from the patio. A good layout turns the yard into somewhere you spend time.

How a design project runs

  1. 1

    Free on-site walkthrough

You call, we set a time, and we walk the property together. We ask how you use the yard, what you like and dislike, and what you want to spend, then give you a free estimate.

  2. 2

The plan and a written estimate

We come back with a layout, plant list and line-item estimate, so you can see what each part costs and adjust it before any work begins.

  3. 3

    Protecting the site

Before digging we lay boards or mats over turf along the access route, cover nearby walkways and flag irrigation heads so they are not crushed. Old plants and roots come out and leave with us.

  4. 4

    Installation, tidied daily

Beds are shaped, soil is amended, and plants are set at the right depth and mulched. Each evening we sweep hardscape, blow off the driveway and stack materials neatly, so your home is usable every night.

  5. 5

    Final walk and care notes

We walk the finished yard with you, check each plant and the irrigation coverage, and leave watering guidance for the first weeks while roots establish.

What shapes the price of a design

Every design is priced from the walkthrough, not from a chart. Your written estimate breaks the project into parts so you can see where the money goes. If a bigger plan makes sense to pay over time, financing is available for amounts up to $100,000, with terms anywhere from 2 to 12 years and no penalty for paying it off early.

How much ground is covered
A front entry bed and a full property redesign are very different projects. More square footage means more soil, plants and labor.
Removing what is there
Tearing out overgrown shrubs, old rock, landscape fabric or stubborn roots adds time and hauling.
Plant size
Larger containers give a finished look on day one but cost more than smaller plants that grow into the space over a season or two.
Hardscape and irrigation
Pavers, borders and new irrigation zones are often the largest line items in a plan.
Access and soil prep
Narrow side yards, slopes and soil that needs amending all change how long installation takes.

Landscape design questions

Do I have to install the whole design at once?

No. Many homeowners do the front beds first and the backyard later. We draw the full plan up front and split it into phases so each stage fits the next one.

How long does installation take?

A single bed may take a day. A full front and back redesign can run several days or more, depending on removal, hardscape and plant count. You get a schedule with the estimate, and we clean up each day so the yard is never left torn up overnight.

Can the plan use plants that need less water?

Yes, if that is what you want. We can favor drought-tolerant, Florida-friendly plants grouped by water needs, which keeps irrigation simpler and cuts down on upkeep.

What happens to my lawn and driveway during the work?

We plan the access route before we start, protect turf with boards or mats, and keep soil and mulch off paved surfaces. Anything tracked onto the driveway or walks is cleaned the same day.

Can you look after the landscape once it is in?

Yes. Our lawn care and mulch and beds services keep the design looking the way it was planned, and seasonal cleanup handles cutting back and refreshing the beds.
